Rising Starlets, the national women under 20 team defeated Ethiopia to progress into the third round of FIFA Under 20 World Cup qualifiers.
The match at Ulinzi Sports Complex was good for Jackline Juma side with a convicing 4-0 thrashing with an aggregate of 5-1 following a 1-1 draw last weekend in Addis Ababa.
A goal from Valarie Nekesa, a brace from Elizabeth Mideva with another goal from Fasila Adhiambo was enough to seal the Ethiopian fate after failing to handle the home crowd.
Nekesa scored first in the 4th minute before Mideva in the 16th minute as
Adhiambo made it 3-0 in the 28th minute into the break.
After resumption, bagged a brace in the 71st minute for a 4-0 lead into the final whistle.
Juma side that she combined a good team for proper performance that combined attacking flair with defensive organization.
With victory, Kenya will now face neighbours Tanzania in the third round of qualifiers
