Four new players have named called by Lionesses head Coach Kevin Wambua ahead of the Rugby Africa Women’s Sevens in Gaberone, Botswana over the weekend.
Wambua called in Sophia Ayieta, Priscah Nyerere, Sarah Oluche and Diana Owino to replace injured Celestine Masinde, Rachael Mbogo, Stacy Owuor and Doreen Remour.
The Lionessess are in pool A alongside Madagascar, and Saenegal, pool B has Tunisia, Uganda and Zimbabwe while pool C consists of Morocco, hosts Botswana, Mauritius and Zambia.
Defending champions South Africa withdrew from the tournament as they are preparing for the Sevens World Cup to be held in USA in July.
