Kibera Black Stars have beaten former premier league side Shabana FC to take the lead at the National Super League, the second tier football league in the country as the league takes a two week break for the Christmas and new year festivities.
With the 10 points from five matches, Kibera have tied with Shabana on points but has taken a goal difference to secure the top position with the league set to resume on January 6th with Shaba having played four matches.
Over the weekend, they played to a barren draw against Mara Sugar but they had a good season start beating Silibwet Leons 4-0, beat Mombasa Elite 2-1 and 1-0 win over Vihiga United before losing by a solitary goal to SS Assad.
