Kenya’s Moses Kibet and Ethiopian Tigist Getachew are the champions of 2022 Sydney Marathon held tonight in Sydney, Australia.
Kibet led an all Kenyan 1-2 podium fimish when he ran with a course record of 2:07.03 ahead of compatriot Cosmas Muteti in 2:07.05 and Ethiopian Chalu De Gelmisa completing the podium in 2:07.08.
In women, it was all an Ethiopian podium clean sweep, taking positions 1-2-3-4-5-6 when Getachew crossed the finish line in 2:25.10 followed by Letebrhan haylay (2:25.45) and Nazret Weldu in 2:26.14.
