Kibet, Lembus crash Paris Half marathon record with Kenya’s podium sweep

Kenyans Moses Kibet and Betty Lempus won the Paris Half marathon after leading compatriots in podium sweep with course records on Sunday.

On the men’s side, Kibet won the title with a course record of 59:42 leading Kenyans with podium sweep with Hillary Kipkoech in second and Justus Kangogo completing the podium with 59:44 and 61:00 respectively.

The positions 1 and 2 beat the course that was then held by another Kenyan Stanley Biwott who won the title way back in 2012 in 59:44.

Betty Lempus wins Paris Half marathon with a course record

Lempus won the women’s race in 65:46 after lowering another Kenyan Pauline Njeri record of 67.55 as she led Jackline Chepngeno to second in a 1-2 podium finish in 69.07 as Mathilde Le Dantec from France closed the podium 74.55
