Hamburg marathon, which was set for April 11th has been postponed by one week.
In a tweet by the reigning Olympic marathon champion, who was set to compete at the event, where he started his marathon career will now be held on 18th April.
On his official twitter account, the world marathon record holder posted: “The NN Mission Marathon in Hamburg will be postponed to April 18. Over the past months we have learned that we need to be flexible and stay positive. With this in mind, I thank everybody involved, keep working hard with positive minds to find a good alternative.”
Others in the race include former Olympic marathon champion Stephen Kiprotich, Jonathan Korir, Laban Korir, Augustine Choge, and Gladys Chesir.
