Kiplimo wins as Jemutai comes second at Khon kaen marathon

Kenya’s Barnaba Kiplimo and Mercy Jemutai topped in today’s Khon kaen marathon held in Thailand.

Kiplimo won the men’s title after clocking 2:18.55 ahead of Ethiopian Ebisa Kure takele (2:21.43) with compatriot Fekadu Tesfaye Degefa completing the podium at 2:21.45.

In women, the Kenyan Jemutai managed second position at 2:53:13 behind the champion and Ethiopian Tsega Desta Mehari (2:52:11) and another Kenyan Elizabeth Chepkanan Rumokol completing the podium at 2:55:40.
