Government through ministry of sports have been urged to incorporate more indoor games such as pool in school curriculum not only to help the students in critical thinking and but also in creating awareness of the sport in the country.
Speaking early today during the third Edition of Eldoret Base Yetu pool tournament,Organisers and participants lead by George Ojema project manager Base Yetu said their is need for the new government to look into nurturing talents by introducing such games to students while still young which will boost their mental growth and well being.
The tournament attracted more than 100 participants both men and women drawn across the country and neighbouring countries including Uganda and Tanzania.
Brian Kiprop,AKA Lotto was crowned the champion after edging out Ugandan Erick Koech to clinch the title as Elvis Kiplagat settled on third position.
Nancy Tenai won in women category.
Winner received cash of Ksh. 30,000,runners up got Ksh. 15,000 as third position attracted cash of Ksh. 10,000.
