Reigning world 3,000m steeplechase champion Conseslas Kipruto will be leading Kenyan water and barrier runners in seeking to defend his title at the IAAF World Athletics Championships at Khalifa International Stadium on Friday 4th.
In the penultimate of the championships in Doha, Qatar, Kipruto, the Olympic champion will be marshalling the medal standing at 9.45pm alongside Leonard Bett, Benjamin Kigen and Abraham Kibiwot.
Kipruto won in heat one at the semifinal in 8:19.20 followed by Kigen in 8:19.44 to qualify.
Kibiwott (8:18.46) was third in the second heat while Bett who timed 8:13.07 to finish third in the first heat.
