Reigning world 3,000m steeplechase champion Conseslus Kipruto settled for bronze at the ongoing world athletics championships in Oregon, USA.
Returning into action after a long time, Kipruto failed to retain his title in won way back in 2019 at the Doha championships.
The race was won by Olympic Games 3,000m steeplechase champion Soufiane El Bakkali from morocco in 8:25.23 followed in the second place by Ethiopian Lamech Girma, who took silver in 8:26.01 as two-time champion Kipruto settled for bronze in 8:27.92 to end the 11 year dominace by Kenyans.
