Reigning London Marathon champion Kelvin Kiptum and world marathon record holder Brigid Kosgei will lead Kenya’s marathon at the 2023 World Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
Kiptum will lead the men’s team that includes two time New York City Marathon Geoffrey Kamworor and Titus Kipruto who finished fourth at this year’s Tokyo Marathon while Timothy Rono and Michael Githae are on reserve.
In the women’s team, Kosgei will be joined by Tokyo Marathon champion Rosemary Wanjiru and Sheila Chepkirui who placed fourth at the London Marathon. Sally Chepyego and Margaret Wangari are on reserve
