KPC sweet revenge over APR as Kenya Prisons and KCB bow out of Women’s African club Volleyball Championship

Kenya Pipeline Company (KPC) set up a sweet revenge against APR at the ongoing Women’s African Volleyball Championship in Abuja, Nigeria.

Pipeline, who lost to APR during the Zone 5 final managed to them in straight sets of 25-21, 25-17, 25-14 during today’s quarterfinal encounter to qualify into the semifinals set for tomorrow.

KPC is the only Kenyan team into the semifinals.

Other Kenyan teams Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) and Kenya Prisons lost in the quarterfinals played today.

The bankers lost to defending champions Zamalek with a 3-1 (25-20, 23-25, 25-20, 25-21)

Zamalek win will see them face Kenya Pipeline at the semifinals.

In the first quarterfinal, Al Ahly booked their spot in the semifinals with a hard-fought 3-1 win over Kenya Prisons (25-12, 25-20, 22-25, 27-25).

Tunisia giants Carthage defeated Cameroon side Litto Team 3-0 (25-12, 25-19, 25-22) to set a semifinal against Egyptian Al Ahly.

  4. Carthage (TUN) 3-0 Litto Team (CAM) (25-12, 25-19, 25-22)
