KRU postpones league kick off

Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) has postponed the 2023/2024 season.

With all the leagues set to start this weekend, the KRU postponed it to next weekend.

A statement from the Kenya Rugby Union said: “As a result of ongoing consultations and adjustments to the season calendar, the commencement of the Kenya Rugby Union 2023/24 league season has been rescheduled for Saturday, December 2.”

“This applies to all levels, including the Kenya Cup, KRU Championship, and KRU Nationwide Leagues. Details of the updated fixtures will be provided in a forthcoming communication.”

The league was due to start on November 25 and conclude on April 27, 2024 with Kenya Cup sides expected to have played 16 matches in the group phase and three in the playoffs for a total of 19 matches.
