Kurgat, Kipkurui and Kiplangat earn 10,000m slot for Kenya in Tokyo

Edwin Kurgat will lead top Kenyans at the World Athletics Championships in 10,000m in Tokyo, Japan in September.

Kurgat, who trains in the USA was the top Kenyan at the Eugene Diamond League, the Prefontaine Classic over the weekend where Athletics kenya was using the event to select the 10,000m athletes to Tokyo.

He finished 4^th in the men’s 10,000m in 26:45.35, setting the personal best followed by Ishmael Kipkurui (26:47.72), Benson Kiplangat (26:50.00) and Stanley Mburu (26:56.36).
