Lawrence Cherono will be targeting back to back titles as he takes on the Amsterdam marathon course this Sunday.
Cherono, after winning the race with a course record, he went ahead to break the Honolulu marathon title after two months.
The Kaptagat based runner will be against Ethiopia’s legend Kenenisa Bekelewho has Personal Best of 2:03.3 during the 2016 Berlin Marathon.
Cherono broke the Amsterdam marathon course record set by his compatriot Daniel Wanjiru in 2016 in 2:05.21 to 2:05:09 in 2017 as Nobert Kigen finished second in 2:05:13 and Abraham Kiptum timing 2:05:26.
He will be marshaling forces with Robert Chemosin, Laban Korir, and Gideon Kipketer, all under the Global Sports Communication in Kaptagat.
