Leaders Gaspo hosts Makolanders as KWPL enters homestrech

Kenya Women Premier League (KWPL) leaders Gaspo Women will be chasing to remain on top when they host Makolanders on Saturday.

With 53 points from 19 matches, Gaspo will be using home ground advantage at Nairobi Stima Club against Makolanders which sits in the 12^th a position with 13 points after playing 18 matches, seeking to win their maiden title in the 15^th team league.

Gaspo has played superior matches ahead of defending champions Vihiga Queens who has played 18 matches with 49 points. Makolanders will then host Kisumu All Starlets on Sunday at the same venue.

Vihiga Queens won back to back titles in 2017 and successfully defended the title in 2018 as they search for the third title in a row. The Vihiga The county-based team will be travelling to Camp Toyoyo to play Mathare United Women that lies in the 13^th position after garnering 11 points from 19 matches. The Mathare match on Saturday against Vihiga Queens will be hosting Thika Queens on Sunday at the same venue.

Fast-rising Trans Nzoia Falcons, a team that has signed Martha Amunyoleti, a student from Itigo Girls will not be having any match this weekend. The Kitale based team has collected 49 points from 18 matches with as Queens leading with superior goals.

Debutants Kibera Girls Academy will be hosting Kisumu All Stars on Saturday.

Kayole Starlets and Eldoret Falcons will be having a doubleheader at various venues. Starlets will; be hosting Eldoret Falcons on Saturday at Stima Club followed by Sunday’s encounter over Vihiga Queens at the same venue while Falcons will play Oserian Ladies at Oserian grounds on Sunday.
