Lejirma commands KAGC lead with Coronation Trophy victory

Kenya Railways golfer John Lejirma has taken a commanding lead at the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series following victory at the Coronation Cup & Bendor Trophy title at the par 73 Nakuru Golf club.

The national captain fired a total of five under par 214 to claim the title, snatching it from Michael Karanga who won back to back in 2023 and 2024

The three day tournament that teed off on Friday came to a close today, bringing together the country’s top amateur golfers in a battle for glory after attracting an impressive field of 110 registered players in the 54 hole three day.

Winning the title has elevated Lejirma to take a convincing 895 points ahead of second placed Karanga, who finished third today on 733 points as Ndumberi’s Elvis Muigua completes top three with 672 points.

Lejirma will be seeking to reclaim the KAGC title he won in 2024 season.
