AFC Leopards, Posta Rangers and Western Stima were on top of the game by winning their respective matches in the Kenya Premier League.
Leopards, who lost by a soluitary goal against relegation threatened Mathare United on Tuesday came from a goal down to beat Wazito FC 2-1 at the Utalii grounds.
Elvis Rupia came off the bench to score the winning goal for Leopards after he successfully converted from the spot kick.
Michael Owino scored first for Wazito in the 2nd minute before Bienvenue Shaka leveled in the 58th minutes.
The victory saw Leopards, leapfrog Gor Mahia into third position on 40 points after 21 matches as Wazito drop to 10th on 27 points.
It was a bad day in office for defending champions Gor mahia who lost to Western Stima 2-1 at the Thika Stadium.
Gor Mahia suffered a setback in their quest to defend their title with the loss.
Baron Oketch and Michael Karamor scored in the fourth and 57th minutes respectively for the visitors while Geoffrey Ochieng’ got Gor’s consolation in the 82nd minute.
In other matches, Posta Rangers edged out 2008 champions’ Mathare United 1-2 while Kakamega Homeboyz played out to a barren draw against KCB.
