Former Kenya Premier League champions AFC Leopards have cracked the whip by stripping off the captainancy of Eugene Mukangula and assistant Peter Thiong’o.
Today, the club in its social media pages said: “AFC Leopards National Executive Committee has stripped off Mukangula and Thiong’o their captaincy roles in the team with immediate effect,” the statement read.
The executive committee’s punitive measure comes hot on the heels of two consecutive losses the club has suffered in their recent league assignments and a heart-wrenching elimination from the FKF Cup semifinals a fortnight ago.
The club is also under the pump to offload head coach Patrick Aussems who is yet to deliver a single silverware since his arrival three years ago.
