Malkia Strikers, the national women volleyball team came from two sets behind to stun champions Cameroon in the Africa Nations volleyball championships at October 6th Hall in Giza, Egypt.
The win was good for Shaileen Ramdoo side who topped pool B, the group of death.
After losing the opening sets of 18-25 and 16-25, the Kenyan side managed to win the third set in 25-27 before overstretching the 4th set 29-27 and finally won in the 5th set 15-12 to claim top position.
Following the win, Malkia will be facing off with Senegal in the semi-finals who finished second in pool A while champions Cameroon, who finished second in the pool B will face hosts Egypt encounter with the finals set for Sunday.
