Mathare, Rangers open weekend KPL fixture with Leopards peep top spot

AFC leopards will have an opportunity to go top of the Kenya Premier League (KPL) if they beat former champions Ulinzi Stars on Sunday.

Second-placed Ingwe has accumulated 14 points from seven matches behind defending champions Gor Mahia who enjoys a one-point lead despite playing five matches only.

Third placed Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) will not be in action as their opponents Bandari will be in action against Horoya in CAF Confederation Cup return leg at Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani.

Mathare United will open the weekend fixture on Friday against Posta rangers. The slum boys lie in 9^th position with 10 points from six matches while Rangers is in 8^th position after playing 7 matches with ten points.
