Mayienga drops Okumu and Oluoch ahead of AfroBasket qualifiers

Kenya Lionesses, the national women basketball team head coach George Mayienga has dropped two players ahead of the FIBA AfroBasket Zone Five qualifiers in Kigali, Rwanda.

At the qualifiers, Kenya will be facing off with reigning champions Egypt and debutants South Sudan, Rwanda, Burundi where the sole winners will book the slot for finals in the five nations at the AfroBasket.

The team that depart on Friday for the show, saw Mayienga drop Selina Okumu and Rita Oluoch from the travelling squad when he named the final squad today with Spain based Rose Ouma as the captain.

Coming from Kenya Ports Authority (KPA), Okumu will be sitting for examination while Oluoch picked an injury during the training at the Nyayo National Stadium gymnasium.
