It was a podium sweep for Kenyans at today’s Rome half marathon race held in Rome, Italy.
Simon Maywa and Regina Cheptoo led Kenyans in sweeping both men and women podium in an all Kenyan affair.
Mwaywa won the men’s title in 59:44 ahead of compatriots Vincent Kimaiyo in 59:45 and Kalipus Lomwai at 59:56.
In women, Cheptoo led a top four podium finish for Kenyans when she clocked 68:26 followed by Milicent Jelimo (68:37) and Gladys Cherop (69:22) to clear the podium as Rency Kogo came 4th in 70:10.
