Shujaa head coach Damian McGrath has recalled Jeff Oluoch and Samuel Oliech back in the squad ahead of Los Angeles sevens set for next weeked.
After losing out in quarterfinals at the Commonwealth Games, Shujaa, the national rugby sevens team will be hoping to redeem their image in their last series.
McGrath replaced Oluoch and Oliech with Levi Amunga and Herman Humwa.
“The side for L.A was selected mainly on the contracted players, I’ve made two changes from the Commonwealth Games team simply to have a look at other players, so Sammy Oliech and Jeff Oluoch will come in. It’s not a reflection on the guys who have been left out…it’s just a chance for me to look at them because we are looking to change the senior squad group to bring in some younger players from the National Sevens Circuit,” said McGrath.
Shujaa are in Pool D and being their campaign in North America against Samoa, England and Scotland.
Kenya are currently ranked 13th on the log on 38 points in what has been an underwhelming season with the side making it to two main cup quarterfinals in Dubai last year.
