Double Standard Chartered Nairobi marathon champion Brimin Misoi defended his Frankfurt marathon title win ease held today in Germany.
Misoi won the title in 2:04:53 to smash his previous best time from last year’s event in 2:06:11.
Ethiopian duo Asefa Mulugeta Uma (2:06:47) and Guye Adola (2:07:44) finished second and third respectively.
Other Kenyans were Albert Kangongo in 4th at 2:08:10, followed by Dominic Letting in 2:08:23, Isaac Lelei in 2:09:32, Fredrick Kibii in 2:09:33, and Edwin Kipruto in 2:12:16.
In women, Ethiopia’s Buzunesh Getachew won the women’s race in 2:19:27 followed by eight Kenyans, led by Winfidah Moseti in 2:20:55, Sharon Jelimo (2:22:07), Viola Jelagat (2:22:57) Agnes Keino (2:23:44), Pascalia Jepkogei (2:26:14), Visiline Jepkesho (2:26:20), Naomi Jebet (2:26:48) and Magdalene Masai (2:27:19).
