Home runner Stephen Mokoa and Ethiopian Meseret Dinke Meleka were the winners of today’s Cape Town marathon held in South Africa.
Mokoa reclaimed the title he won in 2018, 2021 and now this year when he beat Ethiopians Derseh Kassie and Dagnachew Maru as well two Kenyans Raymond Choge and Samuel Moloi.
I women Meleka won the race with a course record that was set last year by Kenyan Lydia Simiyu Naliaka who is at the moment suspended for doping violations by Athletics Integrity Unit.
