Kenya men’s national basketball team The Morans fell to Egypt in their opening match of the African FIBA Basketball World Cup qualifiers in Alexandria, Egypt yesterday.
Kenya fell 72-39 in the first match against their hosts. Egypt dominated in all areas starting from quarter one when they won 17-08 followed by 29-09 in the second quarter with 15-15 in the third and 11-08 in the 4th and final quarter.
This came after missing to play the opening match against Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and opponentsa earned maximum points with 20-0 score.
On Sunday, the Kenya Morans will play Senegal.
