Morans, the national rugby 7s team failed to revenge against Madagascar’s Sakis at the ongoing Africa Men’s 7s rugby in Mauritius.
Madagascar won 24-19 in the Pool B encounter to take the top spot to remain undefeated with both teams guaranteed quarterfinal berths.
This was the second time Kenya had lost to Madagascar after a 7-5 loss last weekend.
The Makis took a 12-0 lead before Kenya pressed for the win in extra time but ultimately faltered. After a penalty in a promising position, they opted for a scrum, conceding a crucial penalty then Madagascar capitalized, scoring a try and sealing their victory (24-19).
Both teams now set their sights on the cup quarterfinals taking place on Sunday
