Oussama Lamlioui bagged a brace when Morocco defeated Madagascar to win the African Nations Championships (CHAN) title during the final match played today, Saturday August 30th 2025 at the Moi Sports Centre, Kasarani in Nairobi, Kenya.
The victory handed the Atlas Lions their third title, 2018, 2020 and 2024 after a 3-2 win against The Barea in a tournament hosted by three nations, kenya Uganda and Tanzania.
Calvin Felicite Manohantsoa scored first for Madagascar in the 9th minute but the celebration was cut short in the 27th minute when Youssef Mehri leveled for 1-1 then lamlioui doubled the score for the champions in the 44th minute for a 2-1 lead into break.
on resumption, Toky Niaina Rakotondraibe was on target for Madagascar to level at 2-2 but in the dying minutes, Lamlioui’s long range sealed the 3-2 victory for Morocco in the 80th minute, which was his second goal of the match.
