World under 18 400m hurdles bronze medalist Moitalel Mpoke has been hurdled out in the 400m hurdles at the ongoing World Athletics Championships in Oregon, the USA.
The Kenyan runner finished 6th in in his heat at the semifinals when he clocked 49.34 seconds to end the journey that he wanted to replicate the 2015 show when the late Nicholas Bett won the hurdles title.
In his heat, the reigning Olympics Games 400m hurdles champion bronze medallist Brazilian Alison Dos Santos in 47.85, Trevor Bassit clocked 48.27 qualified.
Benjamin Rai from United States won the first semi-final heat in 48.44 beating Jaheel Hyde from Jamaica to second place in 49.09 as they both claimed the automatic slots in the final.
Olympic champion Karsten Warholm from Norway won the third semi-final heat in 48.00 to position himself for a precious double within one year
