Kiambu junior golfer Elvis Muigua won the Faldo Series kenya Championships that came to an end today at the par 71 Karen Country Club, Nairobi.
After taking the lead in round two yesterday in the three day tournament, Muigua, who has been playing in the Kenya Amateur Golf Championships (KAGC) series fired a four over par 75 in the third and final round today for a total of five over par 218 for the title.
He started off with two over in the first round before sinking one under par 70 in the second round and concluded today with +4 75 for the win.
At 21, Muigua edged out other top junior players led by then defending champion Mikel Kihara, Bianca Ngecu among others for the title.
In the same age, Kelvin Anyien and Antonina Mbuthia were boys and girls winners after firing 225 and 253 gross respectively while Kihara and Cherise Wachira was the runners up at 228 and 254 respectively.
