Mululu wins Easter Monday title

Easter Holiday was a blessing for Michael Mululu who won the Easter Monday golf tournament played on par 73 Nakuru golf course.

Handicap 20 player carded 41 stable ford points to claim the end after sinking 21 and 20 points in each nine to claim the title.

He started badly when he double bogeyed in first hole par four, dropped a shot in the second par 4 and parred on third par 4, bogeyed in 4th par 3, dropped two on five, four, parred on six, bogeyed on 7th before finishing the opening half with pars on 8th and 9th pars 4 and 5 for 21 points.

On resumption, registered similar scores like in the first nine in the first four holes. Registered pars in 15th and 16th bogeyed on 17th and double bogeyed in 18th for 20 points.

Handicap 28 player Ruth Kooro came in second edging out Andrew Waititu on count back from 39 points before Esto Gentral won the gross title on 31.

Kericho’s K. Kibet was the guest winner with 39 points too before John Mokaya winning senior category with 34 points as Wesley Kihumba winning junior title with 38 points.

Trevor Hungi and Josephine Wangai were first and second nine winners with 24 and 20 points respectively.

Nearest to the pin prize went to Kamojo Kiburi while Josephine Wanagri and John Kamais were the longest drive lady and man winner respectively.
