Kenyans Dorine Jerop Murkomen and Samuel Kiplimo Naibei were the winners of the 2024 Firenze marathon held over the weekend in Italy.
In women, Murkomen led a podium sweep with Lucy Chelele Chepoghon taking the second position with Hellen Chepkorir winding up the podium as Teresiah kwamboka Omosa was 4th. Vivian Cherotich was 6th as Kenyans dominated.
Naibei won the title with Hillary Biwott Chemweno settling for bronze followed by Dickson Simba Nyakundi.
