Playing on home ground, Erick Mutai carded a solid 40 stable ford points to win the Kenya Tea Packers (KETEPA) golf tournament played on par 72 Kericho golf club.
Mutai sunk three pars, one in the opening nine hole one par 4 before adding two in the second nine in holes 12 and 15 pars three and five respectively.
on his way to victory, he also dropped five shots in each nice, dropping two, one in each nine and double bogeyed three, one in the first nine and two in the second nine.
Playing off handicap 27, he led another home player Dalveer Hunjan to second position. handicap 14 player managed 39 points edging out Kakamega’s Vincent Amusala on count back for podium positions while Lawrence Nyangema, E. Koko and Justine Ongere were in top six positions.
