Mweresa cut into 400m final in Birmingham

Former Africa Games 400m silver medallist Boniface Mweresa has qualified to compete in the men’s 400m final at the ongoing Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, England.

Mweresa finished second in 45.85 seconds behind Ugandan Baron Adoli in 45.80 sec

In women, Veronica Mutua failed to make the cut in 400m final after finishing 8^th in 54.80 in heat two semis.

Millicent Ndoro also failed to make the final 200m cut when she finished sixth in heat two semis in 23.87 sec.
