Nakuru Ladies were the winners of Kenya Rugby Women’s 10-a-side at Nakuru Athletics Club.
Playing on home turf, Nakuru edged out Impala Saracens 12-10 aqfter coming 10-0 down. Impala landed the fast tries in the opening minutes with unconverted tries courtesy of Rachel Odhiambo and Elizabeth Wekesa.
But resilient Nakuru restored their grip through Fresia Awino and Precious Awino with all tries converted.
In the semifinal, Nakuru eliminated Homeboyz 19-0 while Impala were made to fight every inch of their way before squeezing a slim 5-0 win over Northern Suburbs.
In the third place play offs, Homeboyz Menengai Cream beat Northern Suburbs 24-0.
In the ranking finals, Stanbic Mwamba thrashed Comras 22-0 to lift the diadem.
Before reaching the final, Stanbic Mwamba beat Kisumu Dolphins 24- 0, as Comras taught Kenyatta University Blak Blad a rugby lesson by beating the university lasses 14-0.
