Nandi Cross Country: Alex Kibet, Rosemary tops

Alex Kibet and Rosemary Mumo qualified for Central Rift Cross country championships set for next week after winning Athletics Kenya Nandi County cross country championships held today at Kapsabet Showground.

The much hyped Emmanuel Bor, with his experience lost the title and came in third place with new comer Julius Kogo in between in 10km senior men’s race.

Kibet running for Nandi Hills timed 29:59.80 ahead of Kogo (30:24.10) and Bor completing the podium in 30:42.60.

In 8km senior women category Rosemary Mumo booked her ticket after winning in 27:27.7 ahead of Roselinda Jepketer (27:41.0) and Maurine Chepkemoi was third clocking 28:07.6.
