Zeka Wakoli scored a brace for to secure a point for hosts Global Field Evangelism (GFE) 105 against St. Joseph FC in the ongoing Kenya National Super League match played at Kipchoge Keino stadium in Eldoret. Wakoli goal on the 88th minute saved the home side when visitors were walking away with three maximum points. In a game of missed chances for both sides, Wakoli scored the opener on the 7th minute into the match with his shot into the St. Joseph’s goalkeeper Collins Oduor. It has been a long wait for GFE 105 who have failed to collect three points from 13 matches in all competitions. As they head to Mombasa to play against Modern Coast, GFE will be seeking to win their first match, after they last won the match against Nakuru All Stars on July 15th in Nakuru. Wakoli continued with his efforts to extend the lead but his efforts were put to an end by St. Joseph’s keeper as they went into break 1-0 up. Visitors Hillary Amboso shot on 55th minute was well saved by Nick Tongu as he was seeking for an equalizer. But life was breathed in the visitors on 70th minute when substitute Daniel Kamau break the offside trap to equalize, giving equal chances. His low shot in the left corner of Tongu’s goal. Nine minutes later, Dennis Dodi added the second as visitors went ahead. As the match was almost coming to an end and St. Joseph walk away with three points, Wakoli received a through pass from captain Hezron Ochieng scoring in the left corner to earn a point for the home side. St. Joseph’s assistant coach George Mtoto said the team has now gained confidence after collecting a point. “We are now doing well and a point is good for us,” said Mtoto while opposing coach Joshua Obare said they lost many scoring chances that cost them.
