Moses Ndale has been elected as Kenya Rugby Union (KRU) vice chairman for the next four years.
Ndale was elected yesterday during the Annual General Meeting (AGM) at RFUEA Ground to replace Thomas Opiyo after edging out director Peris Mukoko when he garnered 20 votes against Mukoko’s 11 votes.
In other results, Ian Mugambi retained his seat as secretary after beating Ray Olendo when he amassed 18 against 13 votes.
Oscar Mango retained the director’s seat with 23 votes while newcomer Leslie Mwangale secured the final slot by garnering 16 votes. Hillary Itela finished third with 15 votes while Charles Chege came a distant fourth with 6 votes.
The late elections were held following the postponement after failing to meet the Sports Act Sports Registrar Rose Wasike said county bodies must vote alongside the clubs.
