Upcoming athletes will have to show case their talents and ability, emulating their seniors at the inaugural Chonorok Invitation road run set for Wednesday morning Tarakwa, Uasin Gishu County.
The 10km road race will be the highlight of the event after 5km cooperate and 2km for juniors races respectively.
Organizers of the race led by James Manyur, said the events will comprise both men and women will start at 8:00am along Nakuru-Kapsabet road sapping the forest covered road.
Winners will be awarded scholarship which will depend on how one performed in form four and others will be commercial athletes .
Manyur said the scholarship regulations does not entails monetary, it only depend on what one attained in high school.
“As per regulations for scholarships, winners will not be awarded money as prize but scholarship and also commercial athletes who will not meet the category to get scholarships” said Manyur.
