James Ngandu and Victoria Chepngeno led Kenyans in a 1-2 podium finish at the 2021 Philadelphia half Marathon held yesterday in the USA.
The little known Ngandu won the men’s 42km race in 64:16 beating fellow Kenyan Shadrack Keter to second in 64:17 in a 1-2 finish for Kenyans.
Chepngeno won the women’s race in 67:22 leading compatriot Dais Kimeli to second in 72:04 with Winter Parts completing the podium in 72:16.
In the full marathon, Kenyan Mike Chesire was the winner in 2:13.28 ahead of Dylan Gerainger in 2:14.54.
