Madrid Half marathon champion Vincent Ng’etich track mistress Irene kamais triumphed at the inaugural Nairobi City marathon held today in Nairobi, Kenya.
Ng’etich, who cut the tape in 60:04 defeated top road race runners Charles Muneria (60:48) and Geoffrey Kipyegon (60:49) for the men’s title.
The women’s race, Kamais won the title in 69:15 followed by Sophy Jepchirchir (70:00) and Emily Chebet (70:21).
The marathon, also known as Uhuru Classic, was flagged off by President Uhuru Kenyatta and First Lady Margaret Kenyatta.
