Nyamira County is set to build a modern stadium starting to accommodate all.
According to Nyamira Ports Executive Grace Nyamongo, the county will be constructing a state-of-the-art facility in the county. model green stadium that will be one of its kind in East Africa is expected to start in April,
Speaking today while receiving contractors wanting to submit tenders for the works at Esanige Community grounds in Magwagwa Nyamira North Sub County, Nyamongo said that the National Stadia Board Chairman Fred Muteti and other officials toured the area after President Uhuru Kenyatta announced the stadium will be full funded by the National Government.
“As the Government, we also have it as an agenda to bring technology into the stadium. We cannot continue watching developed countries use Video-aided refereeing as if we cannot do it as they are doing it. We can also bring technology to our playgrounds and use it effectively in advancing the level of our sports,” Nyamongo said.
