Kenya’s Hellen Obiri won bronze medal for Kenya at the Paris Olympic Games on Sunday morning.
Obiri won bronze with Netherlands’ Sifan Hassan winning gold with Ethiopian Tigist Assefa settling for silver in a stiff final sprint.
Hassan, who won bronze in both 5,000m and 10,000m, won gold after timing 2:22.55 with coming second at 2:22:58 as Obiri managed bronze in 2:23:10.
Other Kenyans Sharon Lokedi came in 4th 2:23:14 while defending champion Peres Jepchirchir came a distance 15th in
