Oilers, Homeboyz, KCB, Leos and Mwamba, who will win 7s title in kakamega as Tusker sponsors the final leg

The sixth and final leg of the 2022 National Sevens Circuit is set to be held this weekend at the Bull Ring in Kakamega County.

The tournament which will decide the Circuit’s champion has received a boost after Kenya Breweries Limited (KBL) through its flagship brand Tusker announced a Ksh. 2 million sponsorship boost for the tournament.

The sponsorship follows the company’s previous involvement in the circuit having sponsored the previous five legs (Kabeberi, Christie, Driftwood, Dala, and Prinsloo Sevens) with the same amount. This takes the company’s overall sponsorship for the Circuit to Ksh. 12 million.

Like in the previous tournaments, KBL has secured the rights to be the event’s Official Alcohol Beverage partner, and will also sponsor the event’s planned after-party for the two days.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Tusker Manager Kilel Chepkemoi said;

“We are delighted to be heading to Kakamega this weekend for the final leg of this year’s National Sevens Circuit. Once again, as has been the case in the previous events, KBL is happy to announce that we shall be sponsoring the tournament to the tune of Ksh. 2 million. This money is meant to support the event’s organization to ensure its success and create a great experience for the fans. This is in line with our continued efforts to support the sport of rugby in the country in which we have been involved for a very long time now,” said Chepkemoi.

“This has been an incredible Circuit that has no doubt lived up to its expectations after two years of absence. The fact that we have had different teams win each of the previous tournaments is proof of the high level of competitiveness that the circuit has had and we cannot wait to get to know the overall winners. We, therefore, look forward to the event and urge rugby fans from the larger Western region to come out in their numbers to cheer on their teams and enjoy the experience,” she added.
