Omanyala, Tuwei, Chepkururi handed Visa ahead of tomorrow’s Oregon show

Reigning Africa Senior Athletics champion Ferdinand Omurwa Omanyala and other officials have been handed their visa ahead of World Athletics championships in Oregon, USA.

The Africa 100m record holder has been involved in a circus just like other athletes and some officials headed by Athletics Kenya president Jack Tuwei among others.

With the issuance of the visa, in the last-minute Omanyala will leave the country today evening at 6pm ahead of the start of the race at 10:30pm EAT.

This came after the World Athletics had to intervene on the visa delays.

Those who were in the circus led by Omanyala are the 10,000m runner Sheila Chepkirui, officials led by Tuwei, AK deputy president Jinaro Kibet, AK chief administrative officer Susan Kamau and AK treasurer David Miano.

Team Kenya manager Rono Bunei and the team’s physiotherapists Jessica Shiraku, John Muraya and Japheth Kariakim, marathon coaches Amos Korir and Ibraham Kiplimo.
