Kenyan Mike Okoth and Samuel Njau clinched silver at the concluded Africa Boxing Federation Championships in Maputo, Mozambique.
Okoth, who failed to defend his title, lost to Zambian Andrew Chilata in a unanimous decision in the lightweight while Njau on his debut lost the final to home boxer Rugoberto Sigauque full rounds before losing the featherweight final.
Okoth and Njau, the Africa Zone III champion, pocketed Sh600,000 each besides the silver medals with their opponents going home Sh1.2million richer.
Kenya finished the championships with four medals; three silver and one bronze.
Their silver was on addition after Elizabeth Andiego won silver in the women heavyweight.
