Fresh from leading his team beat Gor Mahia 3-0, Posta Rangers head coach Stanley Okumbi has resigned as head coach ahead of return leg against Gor on Sunday.
The former Harambee Stars coach, Okumbi resigned today at the mailmen today as he wants to pursue a Uefa ‘B’ coaching course in Germany.
Okumbi was named Rangers coach in February 2021, replacing sacked Sammy ‘Pamzo’ Omollo after poor results.
The ‘orphaned’ Rangers are in position six with 25 points from 15 matches with one game at hand and last weekend they schocked Gor with 3-0 beating at Thika Sub County Stadium.
With Okumbi out, team’s assistant coach Collins Omondi will take charge of the team for the remainder of the season.
