Africa junior Tennis champion Angella Okutoyi was crowned the Wimbledon Junior Tennis Open that came to an end today at the England’s Lawn Tennis Club.
The Kenyan national champion paired well with Netherland’s Rose Marie Nijkamp to win the Doubles in 3-6, 6-4 and 11-9 against Canadians Kayla Cross and Victoria.
In the semis, Okutoyi and Nijkamp beat Lucija Ciric Bagaric from Croatia and Nikola Daubnerova of Slovakia 6-3, 6-4 yesterday.
The Doubles final was Okutoyi’s second in eight tournaments since J2 Sousse in Tunisia in November 2021.
