Angela Okutoyi defeated Aya El Aouni to win the 2021 Africa Junior under 18 Tennis title in Tunisia.
Okutoyi is the queen of Africa in the singles despite her seeded 142nd in the International Tennis Federation (ITF) Junior Rankings against Aouni (126) from Morocco 6-3, 6-3 to win the prestigious African event.
She beat Meriem Ben Ezzedine (1,277) from Tunisia 6-2, 6-1 in the second round, made to sweat by Spain-based Ekua Youri (807) from Botswana in 1-6, 6-4, 6-3 win in quarter-final and swept aside Malak El Allami (482) 6-3, 6-2 in the semi-final.
